A Bronx woman died of breast cancer after her doctors and medical laboratory failed to inform her of a lump in her breast, announced New York Daily News.

The 47-year-old wife and mother of three, Monica Brown, has received a 3 million dollar settlement in lawsuit in Bronx Supreme Court claiming that the medical professionals failed to inform her of the lump that turned cancerous and killed her in 2007. The doctors and University Diagnostics Medical Imaging in Morris Park, New York where Brown had went for a routine mammogram in 2001 and 2002, was where the x-ray technician had taken note of a lump growing in Mrs. Brown’s breast, but failed to notify her and her doctor.
