Alleged members of Bronx heroin, cocaine drug ring busted
Fifteen alleged members of a Bronx drug ring that sold heroin and cocaine near schools were busted Wednesday, the Daily News has learned.
Authorities said the ringleaders are still being sought, and more arrests are expected. Thirty-one suspects are named in a 177-count indictment in the case.
Authorities said the ring operated from Dec. 10, 2002, until Wednesday, selling small quantities of heroin and cocaine to undercover officers. The indictment alleges 46 counts of selling drugs in or near a school.
