Carrión Continues On The Comtroller Election Road
The job comes with a $176,000 salary, a $76 million budget, a $112 billion pension fund to invest and a staff of 700. There are rarely controversial decisions to make or angry constituents to deal with. And it’s a nifty platform from which to run for another office.
No wonder so many ambitious New York politicians want to become city comptroller.
Last week the Bronx borough president, Adolfo Carrión Jr., joined a field that is expected to include four members of the City Council and one assemblyman.
