Bronx Soundview Community Gets Thumbs Up For Cyber Casa
Bronx - Congressman Joseph Crowley (D-Queens & the Bronx) announced $282,000 in Federal funding for the “Cyber Casa” internet café run by Soundview Community in Action.
Joined by Assemblyman Peter Rivera, Councilwoman Annabel Palma, Soundview Community in Action Executive Director Edward Padilla, and local residents, Congressman Crowley stated their unified commitment to bridging the digital divide and bringing economic development to Bronx residents.
This funding will ensure technology access and community development services for the neighborhood, as well as providing community social services, youth safe havens, and places for entrepreneurs in this underserved community to have access to computer services for work and small business development.
