 Sometimes there’s nothing like loud screaming music. I especially like to listen to this type of music when I’m running an errand or picking up my kids from school. I also like listening to it when I’m at home on my day off after working in the yard or washing the dishes.

Other times I like to listen to loud music on my way to work and just before I go to bed.

Let’s face it, I love loud music most of the time.

One of these loud and screaming bands that has been constantly playing on my iPod is the Bronx.

The hard-core punk band from Los Angeles has just released its third studio album, “The Bronx.” And it’s a fistful of dynamite.

Opening with the driving force of “Knifeman” and getting in my face with the abrasive “Inveigh,” the CD’s first two tracks take me by the ears and shake my soul and rattle my brain. Read more..

Hardcord punks prove that aggression can be the answer

In a world where bands like Nickelback pass for good rock music, it’s hard to have faith that there are bands out there still trying to create straightforward rock music without a pop agenda.

The music world should be eternally grateful to bands like The Bronx that are still trying to keep real alternative genres alive. Ever since its emergence in the early 1980s, the hardcore punk scene has shocked and rattled a crowd yearning for the pure punk of classic bands like The Stooges.
