Wild Love Forces Man To Kill Woman & Wound 2 Men
A man fatally shot a woman he had been dating in the Bronx early Friday morning, then shot her new companion, critically injuring him, and another man, the police said.
The police said the violence began about 2 a.m. when the woman, Jessica Gonzalez, 23, who lived in the Longwood neighborhood, went to the Hoe Avenue Deli Grocery & Grill to end her relationship with Muammer Aldailam, 31, who worked there, the police said.
Relatives of Ms. Gonzalez said she had dated Mr. Aldailam for more than a year, but her brother-in-law, Raphael Lopez, 35, said, “She didn’t want to be with him.”
A friend who drove her to the deli told the police that she left Ms. Gonzalez in the passenger seat of the car outside the deli and went to get Mr. Aldailam. He then got into the driver’s seat of the car.
When Ms. Gonzalez told Mr. Aldailam that she wanted to break up with him, he shot her in the head with a .380-caliber automatic pistol, killing her, the police said.
He then went across the street, where Ms. Gonzalez’s new companion and another man were in a parked car, the police said.
