The Morris and Jane Addams baseball teams have had their ups and down since moving up to Class A, winning their fair share of league games but also seeing the losses pile up. Overall, each coach has said, the change has benefited his program.
Riverdale/Kingsbridge is just as happy.
The Tigers, without those two rivals to deal with, have enjoyed quite a season. They are 9-0, all alone in first place in Bronx B North, two games clear of second-place Bronx Science.

The news spread like a disease through teen cyber networks; near-naked girls from South Delta Secondary were preparing to get down ‘n’ naughty during the Delta Sun Devils’ last regular football game against archrivals, the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers.
Halftime came and sure enough, a full house craned their necks to catch 12 seniors wearing only itsy-bitsy bootie shorts and strategically placed tape and paint, shimmying and taunting the enemy team during their exercise and warm up.
“It was the talk of the town for a week,” said a high-school parent.
“The parents from outside teams were in disbelief, Lord Tweedsmuir cheerleaders were shocked. Fathers were turning their heads the other way, some sat in disbelief, while a group who apparently knew this was going to happen were cheering them on.”
While most of the coaches and B.C. High School Football Association officials took it in stride, a few worried that the streak-and-peek would distract the 17-year-old players from the all-important game before the district playoffs.
