A tractor-trailer that didn’t belong on the Bronx River Parkway has struck an overpass and closed two lanes for southbound commuters near the busy interchange with the Cross County Parkway, police said.
Details about the 6:15 a.m. crash were not immediately available.
Only the left lane was getting by at 6:45 a.m., causing heavy delays.
As a result, traffic on the southbound Sprain Brook Parkway was also slow, police said.
It was not clear how long the right and center lanes of the BRP would be blocked.
The accident is the latest in a series of rush-hour crashes involving trucks striking bridges on Westchester County parkways.
