Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Let the parade begin!

Brittany Ferris, c., 3, her mother Dawn, r., and Brittany Perrotte, l., of Pittsburgh join other revelers for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in New York.
There’s nothing better to wash away the bad economy blues than a sea of green.
Irish eyes - and the eyes of New Yorkers from all walks of life - were smiling Tuesday as the city’s 248th annual march wound its way along Fifth Ave.
The clear skies and streaming sunshine made it all that much better to celebrate Irish history, heritage - and even our heroes in green.
Fresh from a year-long tour of duty in Afghanistan, members of the legendary Fighting 69th led the line of march.
Revelers cheered “U.S.A.” and yelled “Thank you” as the New York National Guard soldiers went by.
