Disgraced former Giant great Lawrence Taylor is facing a third degree rape charge for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in a New York hotel

Disgraced Giants great Lawrence Taylor, accused of raping a 16-year-old prostitute, has come up with a dubious defense strategy: I didn’t touch her, I touched myself.

Team Taylor will acknowledge that he was in the Rockland County hotel room with the Bronx teen last week, but that he engaged in a “masturbatory act” and did not have actual intercourse with the girl, TMZ.com reported Tuesday.

Taylor’s tactic appears to be an attempt to scuttle a third-degree rape charge which could send him to jail for up to four years.

In an interview with The Daily News, the baby-faced teen insisted Tuesday that she and Taylor “definitely had intercourse” - and that he paid her $300 in cash when they were done.

“If he’s saying we didn’t, that’s not true,” she told the News.

The curly-haired, teenager recounted again how Taylor’s condom “got stuck inside” and how he told her not to worry about getting pregnant because “he was fixed.”

“He had to put his fingers inside me to get it out,” she said.

Taylor was busted on May 6 after Bronx cops rescued the petite prostitute from her alleged “bad ass” pimp, 36-year-old Rasheed Davis.

The lecherous ex-linebacker admitted paying a hooker $300 for sex, according to a criminal complaint against Davis, who was hit with a sex trafficking charge in Manhattan Federal Court last Friday. Read more..

Readers of The Lede who were puzzled by the large number of comments defending Chris Brown or attacking Rihanna beneath our post on his arrest last month should read the article “Teenage Girls Stand by Their Man,” written by our colleague Jan Hoffman for Thursday’s New York Times.

The fact that many such comments submitted to our site — including dozens that were way, way too profane to publish, many that placed the blame on his Rihanna and several that said some version of “I LOVE YOU CHRIS BROWN!!!!!!” — were written in the style of text messages should probably have tipped us off that Mr. Brown’s staunchest defenders were most likely the young teenage girls who make up his fan base.
