The scene outside a Furman Ave. apartment building in the Bronx, where a single mom and her six-year-old daughter were found stabbed to death on Tuesday.
A friend of the family is distraught. Neighbors realized something was wrong when a window was left wide open, despite the freezing temperatures.
Cops found a 6-year-old girl and her mother stabbed to death in their Bronx home this morning and are questioning the woman’s boyfriend, a police source said.
Neighbors said they last saw the mother and child shortly after midnight Monday.
“We kept calling and calling and calling,” Simsky Harrison, 23, said. “We banged on the door and kicked it.”
Police did not immediately release the names of the mother and daughter.
